I have the Glock 27 as well and keep it in the center console as well while I am driving, not all of the time, just most of the time. When it comes to self defense, I dont mind making a couple holes to have the perfect mount for my guns. If you have rear tint that no biggie, nobody will see it. Screw it into the center console on the backside (the second row). Do what you think is best.Īnother option is getting a pancake style holster, kydex. I get tons of looks from people, mostly compliments but that also means people with bad intentions are looking as well. I, also, will move the gun from the resting place to under my leg when I go into bad parts of town. My Glock (by no means do I like Glock, I only have it for the size and the price I paid otherwise I carry my 1911 most of the time lol) fits perfect in the storage tray in the console. The center stack is easier to access but more noticeable to outsiders. I regularly practice drawing from both of the abov e positions. Unless you have that fluid motion down and training, if you need your gun you will not get to it fast enough. Good luck drawing from a seated, restrained position with it concealed.
I also sometimes leave it in the center stack storage area near the shifter. I leave my Glock 27 in the upper portion of the center console.
